The Masks

"The Blue Mask" The medium I used is acrylic painting on canvas, with a textured brushstroke technique. I focused on contrasting colours — blue, green, and red — to create a captivating composition. The background I filled with a deep blue, diagonally criss-crossed by green lines, creating a grid pattern. Tiny red flower-like shapes punctuate the intersections of the green lines. I clearly defined the mask's details, including the eyes, eyebrows, and lips, with the lips slightly curved in a smile. The mask is three-dimensional, standing out from the flat painted surface. Inside is a silver-rose Celtic heart hidden. The mask's blue colour creates a strong contrast with the red and green details. The colours create a visual harmony and an overall mood that is mysterious and slightly whimsical. 75x75x2cm
